Dalai Lama Receives Caring Award

On behalf of the Caring Institute, Co-Chairs of the Caring Institute, Senators Tom Daschle and Bob Dole along with Caring Institute Founder and Executive Director Val J. Halamandaris presented His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet with the Mother Teresa International Caring Award for dedicating his life to promoting the values of caring, compassion and public service. The ceremony was held July 13, 2011 in the U. S. Capitol.
